Hey there! I’m Samantha Davenport, the face (and dye-stained hands) behind Quirky Spools.

I’m an elder millennial, a mom of two awesome kiddos, and a lifelong lover of color in all its wild, wonderful forms. For over 20 years, I worked as a hairdresser—playing with tones, textures, and transformations. Color has always been my love language, whether it’s a perfectly blended balayage or a skein of yarn that just sings.

These days, I’ve swapped hair dye for fiber dye, and I’m on a mission to build something magical: a yarn biz that’s colorful, creative, welcoming, and just a little bit weird (in the best way). Quirky Spools started in my garage—one dye pot, a few skeins, and a whole lot of heart—and it’s grown into a space where color gets to run wild.

I believe beautiful yarn shouldn’t break the bank, and that crafting is for everyone. Whether you're a seasoned fiber artist or just picked up your first set of needles, I want you to feel inspired, excited, and totally seen here.
